Fall shipping is here! Hip hip hurray!!

I hope you all had a great summer with lots of fun times with friends and family. For us, the summer went by extremely fast and I just don’t know how it can be September already. My husband and I have had a great summer spending a lot of time with friends, family and our grandson Booker. We have made a couple of short trips to the coast and up into Washington. We are not quite ready for the summer to end, September came way too quickly! That being said, I am still working in my vegetable garden, we have been canning all kinds of jams (cherry, rhubarb, peach, apricot, strawberry) as we love to eat and share. We have also canned salsa, tomato sauce and Albacore tuna. I know poor Adam is sick of anything zucchini and is on the verge of telling me “no more zucchini plants next year”. Ha! There will always be zucchini in our lives.

The fall shipping season is just getting underway and all indications are that it will be very busy. There is some concern related to truck availability this fall. I implore everyone to get your orders ASAP so we can assemble and get your order on the road. We are still getting into the 90’s here but the forecast is looking cooler and more fall like weather coming up, perfect timing for September shipping.

The good news? Our availability list is always changing. New crops are constantly becoming ready, and what’s limited one week may be available the next. To stay ahead, we encourage you to:

• Check or call about our availability list regularly — it’s updated monthly to reflect what’s looking its best.
• Reserve early when possible — securing plants ahead of time gives you peace of mind for upcoming projects.
• Stay in touch with me — I’m happy to recommend alternatives or help plan for what’s coming up to grade.
