I am for some reason feeling both incredibly appreciative and very nostalgic these days, maybe it’s just the holidays. There are so many vendors, mentors, peers and especially you, my clients, that have carried and propelled Plants West through times both good and difficult these past 30 plus years. To say I’m grateful is an under-estimation of how deeply appreciative I am for your loyalty and support. That being said, I would like to wish you all from the bottom of my heart “health, happiness, joy and success in this coming year”. Blessings One and All.

I’m super excited to share with you the new Spring 2026 Availability and Specials lists. Be sure to check out the new varieties of Redbud trees and order them quickly as we have very limited numbers. We have also brought back Mt. Vernon laurel which is a remarkable evergreen foundation plant with glossy leaves for both sun or shade, a great alternative to Otto Luykens. We have increased our numbers of the newer varieties of Cherry Laurel like Greenfinity, Green Goblet, Volcano and Chestnut Hill. These are all superb evergreens for privacy screens, hedges and foundation plantings. The Chestnut Hill Laurels are on sale so stock up and enjoy!

Speaking of plants on sale…our Spring 2026 Specials List is abundant with greatness. Need Japanese maples? Bam!! We have Bloodgoods, Crimson Queens and Tamukeyamas all at Spring Special pricing plus lots of others available too. Need Upright Laurels? Bam!! We have super nice Skips and Dwarf English from our field that are priced to move and make you money, plus other sizes and varieties available as well. All fresh dug and fertilized. Looking for Evergreen conifers? Bam!! We have Green Giant Arbs, Techney Arbs and Pyramidalis Arbs on sale too. These are all beautiful plants, unfortunately we just have too many of them and need the space. There is an entire page of Spring Specials so check it out and place your order quickly.

As in every spring there are shortages of inventory that needs to be addressed. Skimmia male and female are in great demand with not enough available. Bigger container grown Otto Luyken Laurels are limited again this spring but I do have quite a few really nice b&b ones in the field that would be an excellent option. Pieris Fire and Ice is always in high demand so that’s another plant to get your order in very quickly. If you need any super nice 5/6’ and 6/7’ b&b Taylor Junipers place your order immediately and plan to ship in early March to get the quantity you need.

Adam and I are in Arizona now playing lots of golf, doing house repairs, seeing friends and family and just having a sunny good time. We are fortunate to escape the rain and gloom of the Pacific Northwest and enjoy the beauty of Arizona for a short few months in the winter. Our sunrises and sunsets are off the charts here and the weather, especially this year, is a nice reprieve from the rain, cold and dampness back home.
